Orthex Corporation: Annual and Sustainability Report 2022 published

Orthex Corporation’s Annual and Sustainability Report 2022 has been published. In addition to the annual review, the report includes the Board of Directors’ Report, Financial Statements, Corporate Governance Statement, and Remuneration Report for the year 2022. The report also includes the company’s Sustainability Report.
As highlighted in the Sustainability Report, the company reached many significant sustainability milestones during 2022. One major achievement was that SBTi approved Orthex’s near-term science-based emissions reduction target, meaning that Orthex’s climate targets are aligned with the target to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees. At the beginning of the year, the company took an important step when the company’s Lohja factory was granted an ISCC PLUS certification giving the company the opportunity to start business with mass balanced renewable materials in selected product series. The company also started two important raw material related projects together with partners, the aim of which is to find break-through solutions which would enable the company to further increase the use of sustainable raw materials in its products and reduce its carbon footprint. All these actions are in line with the company’s ambition to reach carbon neutrality in production by 2030.
The Annual and Sustainability Report has also been published in accordance with the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) reporting requirements. The format of the report is Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML). The main statements in the consolidated financial statements and the notes thereto have been labelled with XBRL tags. The ESEF financial statements of Orthex Corporation are unassured.
